My guess is that the diaphragm was replaced? There are several reasons the pressure is not 'pushing' the oil to the bar. He took it to a repairman, who replaced the part My father in law has a Homelite Super 2 chain saw. Then is flooded.( no the choke wasn t on) When I tried to use it the 2nd time the primer bulb was cracked. I have the Kit that has all of the Fuel/Oil lines & the rubber check valves. Does this sound realistic? If so, what size are the lines and I assume I should try to replace all lines, correct?Īge has its way to decintgrate rubber. Someone mentioned the fuel lines, being old as they are, could be collapsing on themselves. Love this little saw, but it hardly gets used since it is a little on the small side. Thomas is correct, so be sure to check them too. If its grounded out internal you'll need to replace it. Also, check your on/off switch as to whether or not its functioning properly. If the gap is to wide, then you'll get zero spark. I just thought that I'd let you know that you need to set the air gap between the new coil and the fly wheel at 0.10 to about 0.15. Need to know which elect system you have.Wico/Prestolite or REPCO/ R.E.Phelon will be on the flywheel/Rotor. IF that's so, I suspect the Coil is toast. The last thing to check is that the wire to the switch has not shorted out by rubbing against the block. I assume you are removing the spark plug, reinserting it in the wire, touching the muffler while pulling the rope and still no spark. It sure would be a great help if you tell me. I have just obtained a Homelite super II model 10654 and am not sure what the oil to fuel mixture is. Any suggestions? Thanksīill did you check on the price on a coil for my homelite super XL automatic? i prefer a used one but may have to buy new one, the old one is light blue in color. Changed out the coil and plug and cleaned the on/off switch with carb. I'm having trouble getting my Homelite super xl to spark. Thanks for any help or suggestions you could give me. Would you possibly have one? I'm sure I could buy another saw, but I would like to save this one, as he hardly used it, and it's been setting for about 6 years now. I have not been able to find one in this area. My Father passed away, and I've been trying to find a CDI Coil (electronic module) for his Homelite Super 2 chain saw. Thanks to everyone who left a comment about my Homelite XL Saw, no spark, i finally got it fixed, the problem was the spark plug i had was a new plug i saw no spark, i noticed when i turned flywheel no spark on plug but without plug sticking screwdriver down in plug wire i felt jolt this plug ran perfect in my weedeater even showed spark on my weedeater an it was right plug for the Chainsaw cj6 champion any way new spark plug took care of the problem i felt like a fool after working 2 days on this saw but its fixed an i found a nice web site thank you. Dispose of any old fuel in the saw as it could mess up the carb diaphragms. You might also check the condition of the fuel lines. There is a rubber connecting boot ($16.00) between the carb & cylinder that needs replacing. I just started to tinker with it and it starts when I spray fuel in the carb, but it wont stay running. I purchased an old pick-up truck around two years ago and there was a Homelite 330, UT NO.10609-R, serial# OH0500092.
